Dress Code
Contestant provides all their own attire, horse, and tack.
Speech/Modeling & Interview: Boots, belt, cowboy hat, and western skirt & western long-sleeve shirt or a western dress.
Horsemanship: Western attire including boots, belt, western style jeans, cowboy hat, long sleeve shirt.
The Contest
The order of events is subject to change.
Horsemanship: The arena will be available for warm-up from 4-5 pm. Check-in is at 5 pm. The pattern will be given at check-in. In addition to the pattern, contestants will complete a flag run and a presentation ride.
BREAK TO CHANGE CLOTHING
Interview: Each contestant will go in number order individually into the interview with the judges. They will be asked random questions about themselves, their horses, general rodeo understanding, and Bluffdale City knowledge.
Speech/Modeling/Impromptu Question: (Order of events is subject to change) All contestants will first model and then give their prepared speech on the topic of their choice (between 1½ - 2 minutes) followed by an impromptu question.
Coronation will be held after scores are tallied. Queen and Attendants should plan to stay for a short meeting after the coronation.
