The Planning Commission consists of five regular members and at least one alternate that are appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council. All Commission members are Bluffdale Residents. The Commission has a variety of roles in the community, sometimes acting as a recommending body to the City Council for legislative decisions, such as zone change and general plan decisions; as a recommending body for administrative decisions, such as site plans and subdivision plats; and as the Land Use Authority with final decision making authority for Conditional Use Permits and additional administrative land use approvals. The Planning Commission typically meets twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays, at 7:00 p.m., pursuant to the City’s adopted annual meeting schedule and workload. Please contact the City’s Planning Division firstname.lastname@example.org or (801) 254-2200 for more information or to apply to be heard before the Commission.
